Stralsund

The Hanseatic City of Stralsund is the second largest city in Vorpommern.ï¿½ It lies on the Strela Sound, the strait between Isle of Ruegen and the mainland.

It has a turbulent history and bears reminders of it everywhere.ï¿½ It is one of the most notable places to visit on the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The old town was designated a monument by UNESCO.
