Kiel

Kiel, located approx.100km north of Hamburg, is a historic coastal city in Germany's northern Hanseatic region.  It is thoroughly modern in both its architecture and bustling pace. This is perhaps due to the 19th century Kiel Canal which first connected trade from the North Sea to the Baltic and which remains today extremely active.
