Online with nature: nature reserves, biosphere reserves and national parks - educational and fun

Germany's Young Nature Friends organisation is working to promote value-for-money low-impact tourism for children and young people. Why not discover a new side to Germany? A survival tour in the Thuringian Forest is crammed with adventure. Or how about a long-distance cycling tour from Munich to the Baltic coast? You don't have to fly halfway round the world to enjoy yourself. There are lots of fabulous ideas to choose from here in Germany: canoeing tours, cycling tours, climbing weekends and sailing trips, to name a few.

The project "Online with nature: nature reserves, biosphere reserves and national parks - educational and fun" has been designed by Young Nature Friends to promote Germany as an attractive, eco-friendly tourism destination. So take time to discover one of Germany's beautiful nature reserves, biosphere reserves or national parks - of which there are over 100 in total. Not only are these places amazing and full of fun, they're also great learning environments. By trying sustainable tourism for themselves, children and young people can learn how valuable and important nature is without missing out on any fun or adventure.
All the information you need can be found in the Young Nature Friends' database (in German only) which has been specially compiled for children's and young people's groups, families and schools.

The database provides an overview of all the information centres and activities at Germany's nature reserves, biosphere reserves and national parks. To help you choose an educational package or a nature conservation programme, it contains addresses, contact details, travel information, names of tour operators and accommodation suitable for children and young people.
