Exploring the Fairytale Route


Schwalm Region

Along the Fairytale Road in the state of Hessen lies a small region known as "the Schwalm".  Some call it "Rotkäppchenland" because the Brothers Grimm immortalized the area with their story entitled "Rotkäppchen" or "Little Red Riding Hood".  In the town of Ziegenhain, the Schwalm Museum is home to a number of costumes that might have been worn by Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother.
