This 70s musical celebrates hot summer nights in glittering dance halls, as dancers in platforms, flares and sequin shirts strut their stuff to the disco beat. Brash, lurid pop mythology whips up the party fever.

1976. Tony Manero, a young Italian-American, works in a paint shop in the New York suburb of Brooklyn. To escape his dreary work routine, he spends every Saturday night at the 2001 Odyssey disco. He is 19 years old and dreams of leaving Brooklyn for a better life with a beautiful girl by his side. But, for the time being, he can only live out his dreams on the dance floor, as the undisputed disco king. Tony sees his big opportunity in the 2001 Odyssey dance competition. But before he can take his rightful place on the winner's podium, he first needs to persuade the girl of his dreams to take to the floor with him...
