Bayreuth
Maisel's Brewery and Cooperage Museum - Brewing industry

The crenelated 19th-century building of the original Maisel brewery is home to the only beer museum of its kind in the world. Founded in 1974, the museum was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the "most comprehensive beer museum in the world" in 1988.

Beer brewing in the Guinness Book of Records
Maisel’s Brewery and Cooperage Museum not only gives visitors the chance to explore a complete, authentic brewery up close, it also offers a totally interactive experience that inspires the senses. This is made possible with features such as a completely innovative room fragrancing system that transports visitors back in time to brewing in days gone by – with truly emotional effects. Here in the museum, the machine room, brewing room and cooperage are still operating as if the brewers had just popped out for lunch. A great opportunity to discover the traditional fine art of brewing first hand.
