Car Country Germany - Top 10 places to be

The Autostadt Wolfsburg, hometown of the Volkswagen, the world's largest car manufacturer. The Autostadt features an automobile museum, a theme park and feature pavilions for the principal brands in the Volkswagen Group.

The Car & Technology Museum Sinsheim has more than 3,000 exhibits from all areas of technical history. This includes 40 racing cars, 300 classic cars, 60 airplanes, 20 locomotives, 200 motorcycles and much more.

The new Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen was designed by Delugan Meissl Associated Architects and opened its doors in 2009. It exhibits a great range of famous Porsche cars and the outstanding design turns a visit into a real experience.

The Transparent Factory is located in Dresden and its main purpose is the assembly of Volkswagen's luxury sedan, the Phaeton. The name is referring to both optical transparency and transparency of the production process.

The Mercedes Benz Museum in Stuttgart brings 125 years of innovative automotive history to life. Exhibits include the world's finest cars produced by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler, the first Mercedes and 160 other illustrations of the legendary Mercedes brand.

The Meilenwerk in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart is more than a museum. It has the facilities to buy, sell, restore and maintain classic collector's vehicles.
The BMW World - a multi-functional customer experience and exhibition - is in direct proximity to the BMW headquarters, The BMW museum and the Olympiapark, and was designed as a BMW Centre of presentation, distribution and communication.

The Museum for historic Maybach vehicles in Bavaria presents an exhibition about the history and the products of Karl Wilhelm Maybach. Maybach is known for its valuable luxury automobiles during their 100 year history.

The Audi Forum is a representative building of the Audi AG, where people can pick up their new cars and learn more about the history and philosophy of Audi. The open and transparent architecture was designed by HENN architects, Munich.

Since 2004 the August Horch Museum (founder of Horch and Audi) in Zwickau offers its visitors to see, feel, hear and smell the pioneer spirit and ingenuity of more than 100 years of automotive tradition and experience the milestones, the history and the spirit of the era.
