Fines

Trafficlights
Fines can be imposed on the spot. There are no fixed penalties in Germany, the cost of a fine is always determined on a pre defined list of circumstances, for example a speeding offence in excess of 10km/h would be €15, in excess of 26-30km/h €60, the maximum is €425 for travelling in excess of 70km/h. For serious offences, the police can confiscate the vehicles of foreign motorists.
