The advanced skiers and snowboarders choose the narrow area on the Spinnengraben or the lower situated area of the Jenner. The skiing area of the Bischofswiesen too, is attractive for the advanced winter sports activities.
Less advanced skiers and snowboarders, too, are at the right place in Bischofswiesen. Berchtesgadener Land is - due to its large choice of easy slopes, nurseries and skiing classes for children from the age of three - a great skiing area for families with children.
The downhills make up 50 kilometres of pistes (between 600 and 1874 metres high). Also cross-country skiers will find their way on the trails with a total length of 61 kilometres. Popular is the Scharitzkehll trail at 1,100 metres with splended views.
For snowboarders can use the half-pipe on the Rossfeld. And last but not least, the Berchtesgadener Land is known for its reasonable price levels. For those who prefer hiking, there are 120 kilometres of snow-free footpaths. Curling on the frozen Hintersee, tobogganning on the natural toboggan run and the skating rink on the Köningssee, luge in footsteps of Olympic champion Georg Hackl. Fancy a moment off the skis...why not enjoying the winter scenery on a horse-sledge or during a torch-hike?
