The Harz is Germany’s most northern low mountain range, located in between the lively metropolises of Hamburg, Hanover and the capital city of Berlin. Extensive plateaus with forestry mountains and valleys covered by snow characterize the magnificent area of the Harz.
If there is enough snow, a variety of slopes are available and there are plenty of opportunities for cross-country skiing. In the winter season, the Harz Mountains attract many snowboarders and other sporty types as the area has so much to offer (toboggans, hiking routes, sledges tours with either huskies or horses and much more)
