Schwangau

Welcome in the fairy tale of Schwangau. The town of the royal castles! A very extensive network of cross-country trails and 60 kilometres of footpaths invite you to many enjoyable tours through a white snow-capped dream scenery.

Alpine skiing, toboggan and two natural ice rinks...there is something for everyone.

For romantics, there are sledge-tours with horses just like at the ages of the German kings. The magnificent royal castles of Neuschwanstein adn Hohenschwangau in the middle of the mysterious winter scenery, are well worth paying a visit.

Schwangau is a sunny winter destination with various types of accommodation. It also has two camping sites that are open all year round.
