The town of Ruhpolding, surrounded by mountains, belongs to Bavaria’s greatest skiing areas and has numerous sports facilities: an indoor swimming pool, a tennis hall, an ice rink and a climbing wall. If you rather take to the air, why not opt for paragliding or hang-gliding.
Ruhpolding is not only attractive owing to the three mountains Unterberg, Westernberg and Rauschberg, but also because of the fair prices.
The Rauschberg is suitable for the advanced skier/snowboarder. At a distance of 10 kilometres, you arrrive in Inzell. Inzell focuses mainly on „ice sports“. World famous is the 400 metres long ice rink, known from the World Cup championships. Known too, is the marathon trail from Inzell to Ruhpolding and Reit im Winkl.
