German Skating Routes

Regular visitors to Germany will notice that the country is well suited for cyclists, with hundreds of well established cycle routes.  Now, due to an increased demand, Germany is developing a similar concept for skaters.  So now when you’re travelling on 8-wheels you are less likely to have to share a stony pathway with cyclists or risk your life skating on main roads.

Lake Constance - Skating Routes

Against the backdrop of the Alps, Lake Constance, called Bodensee in German, is one of the most popular cycling destinations in Germany and the recently established skating routes look likely to prove just as fashionable.

There are currently 35 marked routes around the lake including routes in to Switzerland and Austria as well as further a field in the Black Forest.

Fläming - Skating Routes

The region of Fläming is located between Magdeburg and the Spreewald approx. 50kms south of Berlin.  The area region is home to over 100km of skating track, much of which is reconditioned cycle routes, covered in wonderfully smooth new asphalt, making it perfect conditions for all the family.
