Events

No-one could possibly get bored in Bad Wildungen. With a balloon festival, a jazz festival, a folk festival at the castle, the Regional Garden Show, a health festival, theatre performances and musical events, there's something happening here almost every weekend. Once a year, the spa gardens are transformed into a "dance garden" bathed in a sea of lights. The flower parade is another great opportunity to meet people, as is the cider festival in Bergfreiheit, the home of Snow White.

Festival of lights
Every year, on the second weekend in August, Bad Wildungen's spa gardens are bathed in a romantic glow when 15,000 candles are lit to create a truly memorable atmosphere. The festival offers a captivating programme of activities for young and old alike. Experience the magic of dancing under the stars to live music on a delightful summer's evening. And the later it gets, the more beautiful the glow of lights becomes.

Flower parade
The flower parade, a highlight that takes place every other September, has become an extremely popular attraction over recent years. Around 20 beautifully decorated floats adorned with 400,000 dahlias form a magnificent procession through Bad Wildungen's old quarter and along the Brunnenallee. The colourful parade also features marching bands and people on foot and on horseback.

Cider festival in Bergfreiheit
The popular cider festival in Bergfreiheit, the home of Snow White, has been celebrated every second Sunday in October since the start of the new millennium. While visitors learn how cider is produced, artists and craftspeople from the surrounding area demonstrate their skills in the Dorfpark. You can watch various items being made, from wooden decorations and woven straw goods to flower arrangements and straw animals and figures. Snacks and refreshments are also available.
