Traditionally held at the beginning of March, this extensive show of exotic blooms from Asia, Africa, Central America, South America and the South Pacific, as well as from Europe, attracts large numbers of orchid growers and lovers of this beautiful plant from all over Europe. Bad Salzuflen's biggest party - the Salters Festival - takes place in the town centre every year at the beginning of May. At the beginning/middle of August every year, wine-growers from seven of Germany's wine-producing areas come to the Salzhof in Bad Salzuflen to present their wines and specialities. There's music every day, the Smokers' Night, and the shops are also open on Sunday.
