Suggested excursions

Lake Biggesee, copyright Andreas Kaster
Berleburg Palace in Bad Berleburg, Lake Biggesee, Lake Möhnesee and Fort Fun adventure park are ideal for excursions.

Berleburg Palace
Parts of the royal art collection, collections of weapons, hunting paraphernalia and royal family uniforms are on display in the palace museum. The wealth of German-made porcelain and engraved glassware, attractive stucco ceilings in several of the rooms and the profusion of furniture are worth seeing.

Lake Biggesee and Lake Möhnesee
Lake Biggesee, Westphalia's largest reservoir, is situated in the south of the Sauerland region between the towns of Olpe and Attendorn. Lake Möhnesee is near the town of Soest. Both reservoirs are popular beauty spots and destinations for holiday makers, walkers and cyclists. In summer Lake Biggesee and Lake Möhnesee are great for swimming, fishing, camping, pedalo rides, windsurfing, sailing, diving or for touring by pleasure boat.

FORT FUN adventure park
FORT FUN adventure park brings the American Wild West to life. On a 750,000 square meter scenic site with around 40 fairground rides, live shows, and a wide range of events, it offers a blend of fun and relaxation.
