The Brandenburg Art Collections in Cottbus focus on contemporary and modern art. Covering the period from Dresden Expressionism through to more recent times, the exhibition covers works from the world of painting, sculpture, graphic art, photography and poster art. The museum has ten or twelve temporary exhibitions a year. These are usually based around specific artists or themes and cover a whole range of styles, from classical modernism to contemporary art.
