The Glass Craft Museum collects, documents, researches and presents anything to do with the history of Thuringian glass - from the late Middle Ages to the present. Lauscha is the birthplace of the glass Christmas tree decoration, and the museum has a separate room dedicated to this. See how traditional Christmas tree decorations are produced in the historical glassblowing room. Other exhibits include human glass eyes, which were invented in Lauscha in the 19th century.
