Events

There is always something happening in Bad Pyrmont. Visit the concert hall, castle, spa gardens, spa theatre or jazz bar to see a number of famous performers and outstanding comedians and cabaret artists. You'll find everything from classical music and pop to open-air concerts on offer at the castle courtyard (Schlosshof). Other special events in the Bad Pyrmont calendar include the "Musikbad" (musical spa) festival, the historical "Fürstentreff" and "Golden Sunday"'.

Bad Pyrmont Summer Festival
Experience culture live at the castle. This celebrated festival of culture takes place every July/August with a broad programme of theatre, concert, jazz and variety shows.

Pyrmont's "Miracle Trail" - "Fürstentreff" Festival
The "Miracle Trail" refers to events in 1556, when the word spread around Europe that a miracle fountain capable of curing all illnesses had been discovered here. As a result, tens of thousands of people flocked here that year and the following year in the hope of being cured by this health-giving fountain. This became known as the Pyrmont "summer of princes". Every year, on the first weekend in July, the whole town is transformed into a giant open-air stage.

"Golden Sunday"
The only event of its kind in Germany, "'Golden Sunday" has been celebrated in Bad Pyrmont every year on the first weekend in September for 270 years. The highlight of the spa season features creative park illuminations, including 10,000 Chinese lanterns and small candles known as 'Hindenburg' lights, and an unparalleled open-air programme with plenty of music. The festival culminates in a spectacular firework display set to music.
