You can stop off to admire the architecture and sample the regional specialities at one of the region's quaint vaulted cellars, picturesque country estates or rustic wine taverns.
 
Hohenzollern Hotel & Restaurant
The Hohenzollern restaurant offers an impressive range of creative rustic cuisine, regional specialities and classic Mediterranean dishes, situated in a fantastic location with panoramic views of the Ahr valley. The extensive, carefully chosen wine list has something to suit every taste, including well known German wines, from the Ahr region in particular, as well as top names from France and other wine-producing countries in Europe.
 
Rodderhof Hotel - Augustiner Restaurant
A restaurant in a three-star hotel in a historical setting, the "Augustiner" offers a combination of fresh regional cuisine, excellent service and a traditional atmosphere. In the evenings, guests can relax by candlelight in the hotel's cosy wine cellar over a delicious fondue and a glass of fine Ahr wine.
 
Brogsitter's Sanct Peter - Weinkirche Restaurant
Surrounded by vineyards and set against the picturesque backdrop of the Ahr Valley, the Sanct Peter inn has a history dating back to the year 600. Situated in the wine village of Walporzheim, the inn was the winery of Cologne's cathedral chapter from 1246 to 1805. The menu at the Weinkirche restaurant features a wealth of daily regional and traditional specialities, all freshly prepared to order. The extensive wine list covers more than 80 different wines.
