Food & drink

There's absolutely no need to go hungry or thirsty in Bad Dürkheim. Its excellent hotel restaurants, cafés, inns and wine taverns are a "fitness treatment" for the tastebuds. Many ambitious chefs are at work here creating refined food that goes beyond traditional, hearty dishes such as liver dumplings and providing a range of subtle tastes ranging from good, plain cooking to haute cuisine.

"Graf zu Leiningen" restaurant in the Kurpark Hotel
Elegant and well furnished, the restaurant is ideal for both intimate dinners for two and for larger groups. A row of French windows opens out onto a delightful view of the upper spa gardens and in summer guests can sit outside on a splendid terrace. The restaurant serves delicious meals ranging from lavish breakfast buffets, home made cakes, local and international dishes to creative gourmet meals and buffets.

"Schöne Anna" restaurant in Hotel Heusser
This conservatory restaurant overlooking the rooftops of Bad Dürkheim serves a wide selection of food ranging from exquisite fish dishes, baby vegetables, Palatinate specialities and game to outdoor barbecues in summer with sizzling steaks, chicken and lamb. During the festive season goose is the traditional speciality. If you just fancy a snack though, there are plenty on the menu.

"Zum Rebknorze" tavern in Parkhotel Leininger Hof
The rustic ambience of the "Zum Rebknorze" tavern gives visitors an impression of the surrounding region. Comfortable wooden furniture, subdued lighting and traditional décor remind you that you are in the heart of the hospitable Palatinate region. There are dishes to suit all appetites, ranging from hearty rump steaks to substantial salads and the traditional "Palatinate platter". But if you'd just like to sample a few glasses of wine, you're just as welcome here.
