Lindau

Lindau is a historical island town linked to the mainland by a bridge and railway causeway.  Lindau's famous harbour, which was finally completed in 1856, is today still considered to be the most attractive on the whole of Lake Constance.  Boating, bathing and biking are popular activities in and around Lindau.  Nearby excursions include the flower island Mainau, Pfänder cable car in Bregrenz (Austria), Salem Palace, Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen etc.
