German Alpine Road

Upper Bavaria view on the Wettersteingebirge
The German Alpine Road runs from the town of Lindau on Lake Constance, past the Royal Castles near Füssen (including the fairytale castle of Neuschwanstein); via the winter sport resort of Garmisch, along idyllic lakes & villages (i.e. Tegernsee) to the famous towns of Berchtesgaden and Bad Reichenhall, one of Germany’s premier spa towns.  Nearly 300 miles of beautiful lakes and mountain scenery awaits visitors.
