Augsburg

Augsburg – Town Hall
The history of Augsburg dates back to the 15th century, when the town became established as an important trading centre.  Augsburg’s hey day was in the 15th and 16th century when the city was highly prosperous due to the international trade and the banking business of the Fugger and Welser merchant families.  Today, visitors can enjoy a number of museums, cathedral, art galleries, a puppet theatre etc.

For families, it’s important not to forget that Legoland is located only a short drive from Augsburg.
