Hesse in the heart of Germany is full of little towns and villages with timber framed houses and fairytale stories to tell. Equally the area has a fairytale story, of steam trains, historic railways and former nostalgic journeys .

Thanks to volunteers and many man hours, this Railway Museum has been in operation for more than 30 years. Today the museum is proud to show a very impressive collection of over 40 locomotives and more than 150 carriages.

This Railway Museum has welcomed historic train enthusiasts for over 25 years. They have successfully strived towards the preservation of historical narrow gauge railways. Today the exhibition contains 16 steam, 16 diesel and 3 electric locomotives.
