Essen Christmas Market

Essen's Christmas market is one of the largest and most popular in Germany, with attractions such as the medieval market, the crown of lights, the Adveniat candlemaking house, the various Nativity scenes, the “Bellevue” Ferris wheel and the “Blue Tree” light sculpture. The international Christmas market has seasonal goods from all over the world, including African sculptures, Russian crafts and gift ideas from the USA. Culinary offerings are similarly exotic – why not try the famous Peruvian Potatoes?
