Lübeck Christmas Market

The Hanseatic town of Lübeck with its historic old quarter is northern Germany’s “Christmas capital”. It has three Christmas markets with a vibrant, maritime atmosphere – the romantic historical Christmas market at the foot of the Church of St. Mary, the craft market in the vaults of the old Hospital of the Holy Ghost (30 Nov – 10 Dec) and in St. Peter’s Church (28 Nov – 26 Dec). Another amazing attraction is Ice World - the international ice sculpture festival (7 Dec 2007 – 27 Jan 2008).
