Emden Christmas Market

Emden’s Engelke Markt is on a giant pontoon out in Ratsdelft harbour, and the only way to reach it is via a pair of bridges. Surrounding it is a fine array of festively illuminated museum ships.This extraordinary, floating Christmas market is a real yuletide treat. The highlight is when the Dutch Sinterklaas (Santa Claus) arrives by boat. teeped in maritime history, this East Frisian port is ideal for finding delightful handcrafted gifts and enjoying festive food and drink.
